The Monkey Fist has two knots on each end and a durable layer of knots in the center of the rope. This makes it easy to throw for games of fetch, and the perfect toy for tug of war. Your pup can pull as hard as they want on the rope without shredding the cotton fibers or ripping the toy apart.

The Flossy Chew is available in two sizes to suit the needs of dogs of just about any size. The smaller size is 15 x 2 x 2 inches, and the large is 18 x 4 x 4 inches. Unlike traditional tennis balls, you won’t have to throw them away after strenuous play, and they won’t be covered in slobber after one throw! Discs are great for large yards and parks, giving your dog the exercise they need outdoors.  We all know dogs love frisbees but are they good for their teeth? Not necessarily. Frisbees are quickly destroyed as your dog tries to shred through them with their teeth. They can be a great toy however if they’re built for chewing.

puppy pick - nylabone bacon chew toy

puppystix

All puppies have a natural instinct to chew.  Nylabone Puppy Teething Toys are great for your new puppy’s mental health, behavior, and oral health. They will help your new pup develop healthy chewing habits, keeping them chewing on toys, rather than household items. Puppies will often chew to relieve the pain caused by teething; teething toys are a healthy way to promote healthy new teeth for your pup without causing pain. Even better, they’re soft enough to prevent your pup from chipping a tooth.

The Bacon Flavored Stick Bone is designed just for puppies. This is a go-to toy not only because of its texture but because of its bacon flavor. Your pup will get excited for the bacon flavor, with the added benefits of a teething toy. So what makes this so great for puppies? First of all, the stick is made with soft rubber, that not only soothes your pup’s gums but helps develop their baby teeth. It will also remove any plaque or tartar buildup on their teeth to keep their breath fresh.

Despite its softness, however, it is durable enough to withstand heavy chewing from puppies as they play with it. You can leave your pup alone with this toy for hours and the flavor will last just as well as the toy. In the summer months, you can easily freeze the toy to make it a fun treat for the heat.

We have found these toys to be a great help with teething puppies. They’re the perfect texture to satisfy pups that have a strong urge to chew without hurting their delicate teeth. If you have a new puppy, this is a great option. We were surprised when the toy arrived, however, to find out that this is only one long bone, not two small bones. Very tiny pups may have trouble picking up and carrying the whole bone on their own; however, in time most pups can throw this toy around with no problem.

ball pick - starmark treat dispensing ball

starmark ball

Dogs love to chew on anything you give them, which in many cases, includes balls. While it may not seem like a big deal, many balls, especially tennis balls, are actually pretty bad for your dog’s teeth. The felt on tennis balls will wear down their enamel allowing for harmful bacteria to settle into your pup’s mouth. Chewing is also bad for the balls your purchase for your dog too. Your dog will wear down the material, and eventually rip the pieces apart. That’s why we recommend purchasing balls specifically designed for chewing.

The Starmark ball is both a chewable ball, and a fun treat dispenser. Fill the ball with either Starmark treats, or your dog’s favorite treats, and let them go crazy with it. The ball will make treat time fun, slow down eating, and alleviate destructive behavior caused by boredom. Even better, the ball is tested for safety and free from latex, vinyl, or phthalates. You’ll also be happy to hear that it’s dishwasher safe, so feel free to fill with peanut butter, or even wet treats, and cleanup will still be a breeze.

This ball is the perfect ball for both indoor and outdoor play, it floats in water and is incredibly durable. It’s also made with rubber, so you won’t have to worry about the ball breaking any of the more fragile items in your house.

We recommend this ball for heavy chewers that tend to chew on their balls. This ball will serve as a great fetch toy, chew toy, and treat dispensing toy!
