semi moist

Semi-moist dog food is a nice mix between dry kibble and wet food. It typically contains somewhere around 60% water. The moist texture makes it easier to digest and chew for your dog. The one downside to semi-moist food is that it doesn’t keep your dogs teeth as clean as kibble. It’s not hard enough to scrape plaque or tartar from your dog’s teeth. Still, it is a great option! It’s very convenient, simply open up a packet of food, and pour it into your dog’s bowl. You can find semi-moist options that are full of great nutrients, and delicious for dogs with picky tastes. Below you’ll find one of our favorite semi-moist options.

wet food

Wet dog food is a special treat for pups when they get bored of dry food. Wet food provides wholesome ingredients, and are oftentimes healthier than traditional treats. While dry food may be easier to serve to your dog, wet food tends to have more nutrients for your pup. Wet food is also much easier to chew, so your dog won’t be hurting their digestive system as much if they start swallowing their food whole. Wet food also keeps a lot longer, so if you decide to stock up on food, you won’t have to worry about it going bad too quickly.

Let’s be honest, when it comes to convenience, nothing beats kibble. However, if you think your dog needs some extra nutrients in their diet, wet food is the way to go. Puppies benefit from wet food especially because they need all of the extra protein. Wet food tends to have more protein, fewer carbs, fewer chemicals, and is more filling than dry food. The only downside, of course, is that it often has to be refrigerated, and it can cause more of a mess than kibble. However, if you don’t think you can keep up with the hassle of wet food, it still makes a great occasional treat!

raw food

Raw diets are becoming more and more popular as dog owners try to feed their pet’s meals that mimic what their ancestors ate. Rather than feeding them processed food that can lose some of its nutritional benefits, you can try a raw diet. Raw diets are usually better for your dog’s digestive health, keep their skin & coat’s looking great, give dogs more energy, and is even great for their dental health. Raw diets definitely aren’t as convenient as feeding your dog kibble, but with the right preparation, you’ll get used to the prep time pretty quickly.
