How is the shelf life?

Shelf life is certainly important, no one wants to purchase a bag of treats that expire a month later. Adding to that, perhaps you noticed Max & Ruffy’s prides themselves on not putting preservatives in their product.  While the lack of preservatives does have the potential to impact freshness, the company advertises at least a 1 year shelf life without refrigeration on all of their bags of treats.

The treats do come in a resealable bag as well, just like most others on the market these days. Resealable packaging is perfect for keeping you pup’s snacks fresh.  For added longevity for your purchase, you can keep the bag in your refrigerator, but it’s certainly not a necessity.  And if you’re in doubt about if the treats have gone stale, remember that these are human-grade, all organic, vegan ingredients; you could actually consider trying one as a freshness test if you dare!

Are they safe for puppies?

These treats could be used as an occasional snack for puppies without any abnormal health concern. Because puppies are ever-growing, they require nutrition that is high in protein among other things.  As a result, dog treats not specifically or intentionally geared towards puppies should not be used as a true meal supplement.  The mini bites sized dog treats from Max & Ruffy’s would be the best way to go, ideally utilized as a training treat as you teach your pup good behaviors and fun tricks.  Everything in moderation though, don’t overdo it and end up making your pup not need their regular meal of puppy kibble designed specifically for their nutritional requirements.

Ok, so they're great treats, but what about the price?

Ok, ok, so we’ve established that they’re healthy dog treats. We’ve established that they’re a health conscious company both for the sake of our dogs and our environment.  We’ve checked every box we can find that says they have every healthy choice and option covered with their ingredients.  These are premium quality dog treats, that surely means a premium quality price, doesn’t it?  Nope!  These treats come in on the lower, more reasonable end of pricing!  You can check any of their Amazon listings to see for yourself. I bet you’ll be surprised at just how reasonable they are!
